David Taugher, Ph.D.
David works with executive-level clients pursuing organizational change initiatives that have a focus in one or more of the following areas:
- Improving results through enhanced planning and management decision-making
- Reducing cost or improving quality initiatives (process improvement or process reengineering)
- Management development (learning tools and techniques to solve problems)
- Developing high performance work teams (getting the most from your team)
- Executive coaching (improving individual performance and management style)
- Work culture change to improve communication and implement performance management to measure behavior change effectively.
David assists senior management teams develop a vision and mission by turning words into management learning and action. He designs a change approach, provides project management expertise, teaches teams how to solve problems, and creates messaging to ensure employees receive timely, relevant communications.

David’s work assignments tend to be longer term (6 to 18 months), since they involve:
- An assessment of management team strengths, issues and opportunities.
- Planning sessions to create (or confirm) short-term goals and objectives.
- Leadership development and management training that provides language and skills to initiate and lead an organizational change process.
- Using a team approach to implement process improvements.
- Culture change or restructuring organizational resources to better suit a changing business landscape.

- Organizational change and management development interventions spanning 25 years with 60 clients
- Experience in a dozen different industries, including retail, construction, defense, insurance, banking, advertising, publishing, broadcasting, power utilities, healthcare, hotel, hi-tech, direct mail, and marketing services.
- Clients ranging in size from Fortune 100 firms having 35,000 employees to small firms having fewer than 25 employees. His expertise and experience are leveraged in many business situations.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Communication and Human Resource Management, University of Arizona.
- M.A. in Organizational Communication from the University of South Florida.
- B.S. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
David currently teaches an MBA level course in Strategic Planning at Curry College in Milton, MA. He is married to wife Rita and blessed with a family of three boys and a girl who keep him busy when not traveling from home near Boston, MA. Free time is spent running, golfing, or coaching youth soccer, and basketball or baseball teams.
